The Foundation has granted a donation to the Finnish National Board of Customs for acquiring specially trained dogs to prevent crime related to narcotics and cigarette smuggling.
The Customs uses drug detection dogs in its narcotic crime prevention and detection work. Dogs complete approximately 20,000 inspections on an annual basis. With the Foundation’s donation, the National Board of Customs will acquire and train two drug detection dogs and print English-language collection cards about the dogs for educational purposes.
The donation sum is EUR 15,000.
