The professorship will focus on research themes connected with culture and the society that have current significance from the viewpoint of social justice and the future of the welfare society. The professorship’s emphasis will lie in the research of issues connected with social justice.

A professor proposed for the chair shall have a prominent international career as a researcher, and a global notification of the professorship shall be made. The professorship will be for a fixed-term, normally one year. The Executive Board of the Researcher Collegium may propose a longer term, however.
