The mission of The American Scandinavian Foundation is to promote relations between the United States and the Scandinavian countries through educational and cultural exchange.
The annual Gala dinner is hosted by each year by a different Scandinavian country. The host in 2007 was Finland, which was, by tradition, represented by President of the Republic Tarja Halonen.
In 2006, the donation sum was USD 41,000.
In 2007, the donation sum was USD 40,000.
