When submitting an application to the Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation, applicants provide information about themselves to the Foundation. This information is entered into a personal data register maintained by the Foundation.

Everyone has the right to inspect the personal data concerning themselves. According to the General Data Protection Regulation, everyone has the right to find out what personal data concerning them has been stored in a personal data register, or that there is no data concerning them in the register, without any regulations on confidentiality preventing this. At the same time, the data controller must notify the data subject of the register’s regular sources of data, as well as the purposes for which the data in the personal data register is used and where it is regularly disclosed.
An inspection request for the data in the register should be made to the Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation in writing. The data subject’s right to access the data is provided for in Article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation. The right of inspection is free of charge, with the exceptions listed in Article 12 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
